CraftLink is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national law.

Data controller

AnkoUnity acts as controller for data collected through the Site and the tradesperson workspace (CraftLink brand).

Data we collect

  • Tradesperson account data: name, email, phone, trade activity.
  • Client lead data: contact details, job description, area, urgency, voice recordings where used.
  • Technical data: logs, IP address, session identifiers, cookies (see cookie policy).

Purposes and legal bases

  • Providing the service (account, pro page, enquiries) — contract performance.
  • Support and security — legitimate interest.
  • Billing and legal obligations — legal obligation.
  • Audience measurement (if accepted) — consent.
  • Limited B2B outreach — legitimate interest or consent depending on channel.

Retention

  • Active tradesperson account: contract duration + 3 years for evidence and customer relations.
  • Leads: per account settings, 24 months by default unless deleted earlier.
  • Consent-based cookies: up to 13 months.
  • Technical logs: 12 months.

Recipients and processors

Data is accessible to authorised CraftLink staff and processors (hosting, database, AI transcription, messaging) strictly for the stated purposes. Contractual safeguards (DPA / SCCs) are in place where required.

Transfers outside the EEA

Where tools involve transfers outside the European Economic Area, CraftLink relies on appropriate mechanisms (adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, supplementary measures).

  • Access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection.
  • Data portability where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (cookies, marketing).

Security

Organisational and technical measures include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access control, backups and logging.

Children

The service targets professionals. We do not knowingly collect data relating to minors.
